WinX DVD Copy Pro offers you all the basic functionality required to back up your DVD collection, together with some interesting extra features. It allows you to make one-to-one copies of your DVD discs, re-encode them as MPEG-2 video files, or save them as image ISO archives. Additionally, it lets you extract any of the audio streams present in your discs.
The program offers a clean and well-structured interface, which makes it intuitive and easy to use for all types of potential users. All the functionality available is clearly listed and categorized in the left-hand panel of the main interface – the cloning and ripping options first, and then a couple of tools. WinX DVD Copy Pro can produce exact clones of any of your DVD discs. The output can be burnt to a recordable DVD directly, or stored in your hard drive as a VIDEO_TS folder or an ISO image. The program will take care of all the locks around your discs, such as region codes, CSS encryption, UOPs, etc.
The next section in the menu includes all the re-encoding, audio extraction, and partial backup features. Here you can transform your DVD movies into smaller and portable MPEG-2 video files, extract any of the video and audio streams in the disc, and rip only those chapters and sections of the DVD you are interested in.
Finally, in the Tools section, you will find an ISO Mounter and a DVD burning tool. The former can take any ISO image and mount it in a virtual drive, so that you can watch, copy, and re-encode it just as if you were dealing with a standard DVD disc. The DVD Burner is no different from other similar burning tools, and it allows you to use an ISO file or a DVD folder for the input.
WinX DVD Copy Pro may not be the most sophisticated and comprehensive ripping and burning tool in the market, but it is certainly a clear and flexible utility capable of decrypting and cloning your DVDs in a straightforward way.
